Spring in January
As of this moment, it is 56 degrees.
That is what I would call spring in January. But looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow…high of 23 and flurries. In fact, there is flurries in the forecast all weekend. So we will plan on staying in for the weekend and making Runzas.
If I can find a good recipe.

New Year’s Eve
I see it has been October since I have posted. And actually it has been since then since I have not felt well. And now we know why. It is New Year’s Eve and I am home alone watching CBS - The New Adventures of the Old Christine. She can always make me laugh - I must usually be busy on Wednesday at this time, because I don’t watch her very often. Gregg and Brittany had gone rabbit hunting - now they are at the neighbors cleaning rabbits.
I have seen the commercial for “Momma Mia” numerous times and this morning I told Brittany “I am going to rent that movie for New Years”. And I did just that on the way home from work tonight. Now the trick will be to stay awake tonight to watch it. I suppose I should just plan to watch it tomorrow!

Happiness
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Riding a Fire Truck
Sunday our local fire department had firetruck rides for the kids, along with door prizes and refreshments. My daughter and I went down before church to the free-will-donation pancake feed, and then after church we went back so she could ride the fire truck. I can remember riding the fire truck when I was little - the exciting part was when the siren was going off. Sunday was a cold and rainy day, so they piled on as many kids as the truck could safely hold and away they went - lights flashing and siren blaring.

Fall is in the Air
It does finally feel as though fall is here with the cool morning we had yesterday morning. Today a co-worker brought creamed chicken over biscuits for us all - great comfort food. And a very tastey lunch. But, now, what’s for supper. Isn’t that the never ending question? What’s for supper? What are some good Fall supper meals you enjoy preparing for your family?
