This is the month we are all so optimistic. The new year brings new hopes and dreams of what could be. I have not made any New Years Resolutions this year. I have been considering some lifestyle changes, so I would suppose that would be the next best thing. Something has to change because it can not continue this way forever. So hopefully it will change for the better!
One of my #1 priorities is to exercise more. Brittany has so much energy, she will be my perfect exercise companion.
More on my other priorities later!
2009 was such an exciting year in our household, with #1 being the birth of Jewel on June 2. I am not sure why God blessed us with this beautiful baby, but I am so glad she was in His plan.
I admitted yesterday to feeling a little melancholy. That may have been brought on by the end of the Christmas season, but some of it was because I was thinking of what I had accomplished in the last 10 years. Because doesn’t it seem like yesterday it was the year 2000?
I’ll sit down and think of how I want to start off the new year of 2010. Brittany will start school this year and Jewel will start walking. My 25 year class reunion is this year. My neice Amanda turns 21 this year. Lots of wonderful things to look forward to.
Today, Friday, November 6, 2009,at 2:00 p.m. it is already 82*! This is our Indian Summer for sure. Last Friday we had a snow storm. And that is Nebraska for you!

It seems I mostly post on here about how fast time is going. We are all happy and healthy today, November 2, 2009. Tomorrow we go to Hastings to Dr. Meeske, Brittany’s dentist. Mom will pick us up early and we will do some shopping before the appointment.
It is to be a nice week ahead, the weather climbing into the 60’s. What a change from last week’s snowstorm!! Gregg’s Dad has not been feeling well, and is warning his visitors this might be the last time they see him. His kidneys are shutting down, so probably only a matter of time before he gets an infection he can’t fight off. As his POA, Power of Attorney, I should talk to him about his last wishes, in case there is anything he wants done at his funeral. I am not even sure where he wants his funeral, he was not a regular church goer when he was at home.
I will post some pictures this week of our October. And then I should burn them to disc, and then download them to Kodak.com where my pictures of Brittany are. Oh!! And today is Jewel’s 5 month birthday. She is such a sweet and precious baby. My sister-in-law Christy made fun of me since I always refer to Jewel as “the baby”. Next year I will have to refer to her as “the toddler”. And then I remembered that awesome movie with Patrick Swayze – Dirty Dancing – the girl in that movie was named “Baby”. J

Ok, here we are in the end of the month of September. Baby Jewel is nearing the 4 month mark. She is such a good sleeper, and she just grows and grows. She is coughing and so is Brittany. I sure hope these girls are not getting sick.

My dear friend from high school, Penny, has a son, Josh. He is getting married next month, and tomorrow is a shower for his bride-to-be. It is a kitchen shower and I am sending the gift, a recipe and some supplies, with my neighbor who is also Penny’s sister. The recipe is for Pineapple UpsideDown Cupcakes. I’ll post it soon.

This site is currently under construction until we decide on a theme!
There are so many things that go on in one’s life on a daily basis. I guess that is what makes the time go so fast! I needed to write these ideas for categories down before I forgot all of them. Scuttlebutt. Family Findings? No, that wasn’t it. See, I have already forgot that one. But it did start with an F. Family Business. sounds boring. Family Fun. That would be a good category. Hopefully we can fit at least one thing of Family Fun in a week!!
Ok, so we have Saturday Scuttlebutt. Family Fun. And I wish I could remember the one I forgot.
Reflection will be one. That will be the main one for my thoughts as it is the name of our blog, Family Relfection. I do like an Aging Gracefully category, which could be about improving our health, or at least maintaining the good health that we have. Can you age gracefully when you are 5? ha
I want 7, 6 or 7 categories for the days of the week. My blogging schedule. Wouldn’t that be great if we added a schedule to our lives, stayed on that schedule, and got organized?
